British Prime Minister Teresa Mae on Wednesday was sharply criticized by the labor opposition for putting Britain's public health system in the first round of parliamentary questions this year.

"The prime minister must understand that it is her policy to push the public health system into crisis," Labor opposition leader Jeremy Corbin said.

"If the public health service is equipped and well prepared, why was the decision last week to cancel medical operations for 55,000 people in January?" He asked.

Theresa admitted that the British health system was "under pressure" during the winter and apologized to patients who had been treated. But she stressed that the public health system "is better prepared than ever" this winter, and boasted of "a public health system of the first degree that we should be proud of."

"The fact is that an additional 2.9 million people benefit from the public health system due to accidents or emergencies, and two million operations are conducted each year," the British prime minister said.

The shortage of personnel in the British medical services has been a subject of an explosive for several months. The Times newspaper reported today that a hospital has delayed treatment for patients with cancer due to lack of nurses.

South Korean President Moon Jay-en confirmed yesterday his readiness to hold a summit meeting with his northern neighbor if conditions are appropriate.

Moon said at a New Year's news conference that he was ready to hold an inter-Korean summit at any time if conditions were available, saying he was open to any kind of meeting, including summit talks.
However, the South Korean president noted that the summit talks must yield results and the conditions must be set for them, adding that dialogue for dialogue can not become a goal in relations between the two neighbors.
The comments came a day after the first high-level inter-Korean dialogue was held two years ago, and the two sides agreed, according to a joint statement, to hold military talks to ease tension on the Korean Peninsula. North Korea

Said Stephane Dujarric, a spokesman for the UN Secretary General of the United , in a statement « the Secretary - General welcomed the progress made during the bilateral talks between the two Koreas, and in particular , to reach an agreement to work on easing military tension and holding joint military talks and the reopening of hot military line between the two Koreas».
"Re-establishing and strengthening such channels is important in order to reduce the risk of misjudgment or misunderstanding and ease tension in the region," he said. "I also welcome North Korea's decision to send a delegation to the Winter Olympic Games in Seoul next month," Dujarric said.
For its part, the senior European diplomats described the inter-Korean talks as "an encouraging sign" and a "positive step" towards improving relations between the two sides.
EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Federica Mujerini said in a statement that the bloc welcomed the joint declaration adopted after the talks, saying it was "useful to enhance confidence and ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula."

Obama began her Monday speech talking about the importance of family and serving as role models to children. She said Hillary Clinton is the only person she trusts to lead the U.S in this election.
